Back when I met Chip Foose and we talked a little about SSP's, I asked him what a Foose SSP would look like. After, I got thinking about what a "5pt0Joe SSP" would look like. I looked at various in-service photos for months, mocked digital versions of what it would like, did a little hand drawing, etc. After I thought about what I wanted, I decided how I would want to do it, mostly asking, "What SSP should I do this to?" After a lot of thought, I wanted to make a Ford Police Vehicles Brochure Tribute car out of a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) because they are more common than most others, have a single spotlight, lightbar, and a few other things as well that I could use or alter in my Tribute car design.
This Tribute car will pay homage to multiple agencies and Ford promotional SSP's. After months of studying in-service and promotional photos, I have taken what I liked from various photos and implemented them into my own design. Although I'm not releasing any "prototype" images at this time, I will guarantee you that this will be a true one-of-a-kind SSP!
